Scott ‘n’ Ramona

You might’ve heard that there’s this Scott Pilgrim movie coming out next week? I’m a wee bit excited for it and so thought I’d do up some art based on it.

Every drawing I do, I get that much closer to figuring out what it is I’m doing. I’m still not there, not even really all that close, but instead of beating myself up about that, I’m trying to look at the things I’m doing that get better from project to project or strip to strip. While there are some fairly substantial problems with this one, I can honestly tell you I put more effort and thought into the drawing itself instead of just trying to throw something out there, and that’s not nothin’. Progress is progress.

Well, I can’t say she’s wrong.

Click it real good. If you wanna see it bigger, I mean.

So technically Laurel didn’t get this phrase from LEGO Batman itself. I can’t tell you for sure exactly where she did get it from, but let’s just say that she won’t be watching YouTube unsupervised anymore.

Harry Potter and the Digital Drawing

with 2 comments

You do the clicky and it gets biggy.

This was just a sketch I did over the weekend to start getting more used to drawing in Photoshop (most of my past digital artwork has been in Illustrator) and to practice doing stuff in a bit more of a cartoony fashion…not that I’m convinced this is especially more cartoony than many of my other drawings. There are things I like about it and things I don’t, but I didn’t want to fuss over it too much, so here you go.
